...we actually don't do much with data on this site. A bit weird, isn't it given it's a site about data marketing? The data "we" do collect is submitted through Google - you should have got their pop up as you loaded the site for the first time. I'll bet you just clicked on the "Got it" option and didn't try to "Learn More", so we should explain the consequence of this to you.
Don't worry, your first born still belongs to you. As you know, Google try not to be evil, but it's hard for them as they are omnipotent in the data world and have watched too many Bond movies for it not to go to their head. Any tool you use of theirs, they collect data on you. Any site you visit that uses their analytics, they collect data on you. Any site you visit on their advertising network, well guess what? They collect data on you.
So yes, this page, and all the others on the site, was built in Google Sites and uses Google Analytics - "we" can't trace it back to you personally, but the tool will drop an identifier on your device so "we" know, for example, if you have visited us before. "We" also use Google forms to collect personal details about you - so therefore does Google - and Google can draw all of the pieces it collects from you and form a very accurate picture of your behaviours. Make sure you read Google's Privacy & Terms and use Google's Privacy Settings to deliver them from potential evil.
With all these speech marks around "we", let's just do the definition of who "we" are. "We" are Data Marketing, a website put together by Debby Cannon. Yeah it's a bit schizophrenic currently but with hopes of growth to come.
Now to be compliant with the GDPR and Data Protection Act in the UK, we have to tell you what we collect and how we use your data and stick to that. So, let's be transparent about this:
Unless otherwise stated (as you submit it through a form, for example), we'll delete any data after 12 months. Google store the data for longer though - so, like I said, make sure you read Google's Privacy & Terms and use Google's Privacy Settings to deliver them from potential evil.
And that's it. You have full rights according to the DPA and to make a complaint of course. In the first instance, please contact Debby Cannon, through the Contact Us page
